When Sleep Became One of the Hardest Parts of Menopause

Before trying Whisp pyjamas, sleep had become one of the hardest parts of my menopause journey.

I was waking several times each night drenched in sweat, particularly during the recent hot weather. I never felt as though I was getting restorative sleep.

By morning, I was exhausted, irritable, and struggling to function at work.

Unsure Whether Sleepwear Could Make a Difference

I honestly was not sure whether a pair of pyjamas could make much of a difference.

Like many women experiencing menopause-related night sweats, I had become used to waking repeatedly feeling hot, damp, and uncomfortable. It affected not only my nights but also my mood, energy, and ability to manage the following day.

I was therefore pleasantly surprised by my experience with Whisp.

From the first night, I noticed that I felt much cooler and more comfortable. Instead of repeatedly waking because I felt overheated, I slept through the night.

While wearing the pyjamas, I personally did not experience the night sweats that had previously been disturbing my sleep.

The Difference Rest Can Make

The difference a good night’s sleep makes is enormous.

I woke feeling refreshed, had considerably more energy throughout the day, and felt more like myself again.

As someone going through menopause, I understand personally how disruptive night sweats and poor sleep can be.

As a healthcare professional supporting women experiencing menopause after breast cancer treatment, I also know how deeply these symptoms can affect overall wellbeing.

Sleep disruption does not remain confined to the bedroom. It can influence concentration, work, relationships, emotional wellbeing, and the ability to cope with everyday responsibilities.

Finding something that improves comfort at night can therefore make a meaningful difference.

My Advice to Other Women

My biggest tip would be to try the pyjamas for several consecutive nights rather than making a judgment after only one night.

I would also recommend combining comfortable sleepwear with a cool bedroom and a consistent bedtime routine.

No single change will address every cause of disturbed sleep, but small improvements to the sleep environment can work together.

For me, Whisp pyjamas have been a simple and genuinely helpful way to make hot nights more manageable. Based on my own experience, I would happily recommend trying them to women struggling with menopausal hot flushes, night sweats, and disrupted sleep.
